Over the last few years, we’ve taken several short-term trips to Israel & Palestine. Come be a part of it!
There are 3 sides to every story in the Middle East: Israel’s point of view, the Arab’s point of view, and ours… Opinions and loyalties are deeply entrenched and buried under years of hurt, oppression and conflict. To excavate the truth is painful but deep beneath the pain and scars, they opened their doors for us, and invited us to sit inside and listen to their hearts.
Objectives for this trip are:
- To provide a better understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and to find possible ways to support and encourage the church in the Holy Land
- To share in God’s heart for the region, His love, compassion, justice and desire for restoration by visiting and praying in holy places and historical sites, and through our experiences with local people
- To play a part in the building of a bridge, a connection between our Christian communities and the ones in the Holy Land, as they grow in their faith in the middle of conflict
- To get people involved in their own churches, sharing their experiences during the trip, offering a broader understanding of the situation
- To allow you (a team member) to meet with members of other communities: Muslims, Jews, Christian Arabs and Messianic Jews, and listen to their personal stories and points of view on the conflict in the Middle East.
Activities:
Prayer walks in Jerusalem, visit orphanages and refugee camps in the Palestinian areas of Bethlehem, work on a farm which sustains a segregated Muslim village, worship in a Christian Arab congregation and a messianic temple, visit and hear from local ministries which are already working for peace and reconciliation, and much more!

The price for this trip includes all transportation within Israel & Palestine, food, accommodation. Additional expenses may be added for extra activities and these will be discussed over time. Orientation meetings and discussions will be lead by YWAM Ireland during the months prior to this trip.
