Discipleship Training School (DTS)
YWAM Ireland runs a couple Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) a year – currently in Rostrevor and Dublin. A Discipleship Training School is training for missions with YWAM and a great way for you to focus on your relationship with God, uninterrupted by daily life at home, while serving him in both familiar and new ways.
The typical DTS is 3 months of lecture phase and 2 1/2 months of outreach – however, the format often varies between DTSs. The lecture phase is made up of interactive and innovative speakers using diverse learning styles communicating the heart of Jesus, and his mission to change the world. Specific topics may be Biblical World View, Evangelism and Missions, the Cost of Discipleship, God’s parenthood, Reconciliation and Justice, and more. Following the lecture phase, you’ll embark on a 2 month outreach phase, putting into practice what you’ve learned. Come prepared to learn and be transformed!
